You probably won’t want to try this one at home. Depending on which 5.4 (there are four different 5.4 depending on the eighth digit of the VIN) book time performed at a shop with the right equipment and a trained tech is 14-17 hours. On some models you have to remove the motor to access the pump. Use the price estimator in Repair pal and you can get an idea of what it will cost.
