How do I replace the starter on my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII?

starter and solenoid need to be replaced

Disconnect negative battery terminal. Jack up the vehicle and use jack stands to support. Remove the solenoid connections, then the 2 bolts holding the starter in position.. Reverse the process to reinstall. If shims were used install those as well.
