Q: How do I remove the spark plug threads out of the head. on 2002 Pontiac Sunfire

I was changing spark plugs and one broke leaving the threads still :n the head. What will it cost to get it removed. Or what can I get to remove it

Good mechanic should be able to bail you out of this one! Depends on damage. Just dont mess with it, it only gets worse, unless you have the tool kit for this and know how to use it!! Forward facing plug so 100. to 150. is a fair price IF it goes as planned. Insert ,if needed, may be a few more bucks. DO NOT TRY TO EXTRACT IT!! That only makes matters worse and more costly. Even if you have the savvy, can't hardly buy the tools and parts needed for this repair for what you can get it fixed for.

seek help from a good mech. the cost will vary depending on the time it takes to remove. this type of job is billed by time and material
You can try and easy out at your local autoparts store. Drill pilot hole first then easy out. Stay totally away from threads on head. Don't drill too far in either. If you do make certain to use a wet/dry vacuum or something to pull out any possible shavings that may get in cylinder. Hope that helps.
