How do i get the hose on steering gear box to stop leaking after new install?

(1990 Chevrolet Blazer)

I just replaced the steering gear box on my k5 blazer and the hose attached to the box is still leaking. Did i miss putting in a o ring or what. k-5 is an 1978

Can you move the line at the flare nut back and forth? If so may be cross threaded and just seems to be tight.

the hose end has a flared fitting, the flare could be split and not sealing. Check the mating surface to make sure it is not damaged, or any debris in the way.
