How do i get the gears unlocked in a 1990 ford ranger

I just put clutch pressure plate throw out bearing and slave cyclinder in it

Remove shift lever ‘assembly’ - - align all shift rails to the neutral position - re-install shift lever assembly.

To make sure transmission is indeed in neutral before installing shift lever - simply roll vehicle - (*on level surface*) - or turn transmission tail shaft - or - turn driveshaft with rear wheels lifted.

Hello, it sounds like you may have to bleed the clutch hydraulics if you do not have pedal feel. These Mazda 5 speed manual transmissions can be difficult to bleed. Take your time to do it methodically.
