How do I disable the anti-theft on my 2000 acura tl?

The dealership wants $900 to replace the passenger front and rear lock actuators which they say is the reason that my anti-theft system trips and goes off after about 5 minutes. I would like to know how to disable the alarm system (I have no problem manually locking the doors). They have told me that they can not deactivate the original, factory-installed system. Is this true, and if not, how can I disable it? Many thanks.
