Q: How can I tell if a lower left control arm is OK? on 2001 Buick LeSabre

One mechanic said the left control arm is cracked, when he used a crowbar to show the bushing is cracked. The other mechanic said it looked good from the outside & did not use a crowbar to check it. How do I know for sure who is right?
Thank you,

Did you take car in for a alignment issue? Or was it in a shop for rotine service and it was "oh by the way we noticed something else." A small dry crack in a bushing in itself is probaly normal for the age of the car. Unless you have a tire wear issue or pulls one way or the other when driving on the road I suspect the guys that said it was ok is correct.
Again, you won't know till youq see it,I try to show all my customers the problem before I do the work if it is at all possible.or when I am done, I show it to them then.either way, they see it, or I will take a picture of it before I start the work this's is so they know they are not being deceived.
If it is indeed cracked, it should be replaced and soon,it could cause an accident. If you have doubts, have some one take it off the vehicle and show you.thats the only way to be 100% sure
