Potential Fuel Leak From Fuel Feed Line
A small fuel leak could occur at the fuel feed line connection. A fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire.
This should be considered a high priority recall. A fuel leak could develop without warning. Please contact your Honda dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
A fuel line O-ring seal may be misaligned, which could cause a small fuel leak. A fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel feed line to correct this concern. This recall is expected to begin by May 27, 2011. The Honda recall number is R79.

FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
HONDA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 CIVIC 2-DOOR AND 4-DOOR VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 21, 2011, THROUGH MAY 2, 2011. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT AN O-RING, WHICH SEALS A CONNECTION IN THE FUEL FEED LINE, IS MISALIGNED. IF THE O-RING IS MISALIGNED, A SMALL FUEL LEAK MAY OCCUR.
FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
DEALER WILL REPLACE THE FUEL FEED LINE ASSEMBLY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE MAY 27, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
