Honda Recalls Certain 2006 Civic Models for Front Passenger Occupant Detection System Issue

Recall Details

Honda recalled certain 2006 model Civic vehicles for a potential failure of the front passenger occupant detection system. In certain cases, the detection system will not suppress front passenger air bag deployment when there is a small child or infant in the front passenger seat. If deployment occurs with a small child or infant in the front passenger seat, the risk of injury could increase. Dealers will replace the occupant detection system unit free of charge.
