The only way I can takes key out is by unplugging the battery cable

Took my 2007 honda civic and go it replace alternator and battery. Light flashes on and off took it back they can't seem to figure out what the problem is please help. The light comes on and drives a little goes off than on and off
You had a posting on this but I cannot find any info on this campaign. My 2007 civic EX has had this happen and now I am told I have to replace the side curtain airbag and Honda will "Split" the cost with me - $600 on my part. I'm the only owner and no accidents. Seems like its Hondas fault as when it first came on it was around 60,000 mile. Have to have the work done now as car won't pass inspection..diagnostic code was 33-10.
The loud noise continues when air conditioner is turned off.
I lost the codes, but one was emission low purge volume which I'm assuming the purge valve or solenoid needs replaced. Do not know where to start with the low voltage code though. Can I get some advice please? Thanks.

It has about 250000 miles and check engine light came on and I lost power. Mechanic says timing chain. Is it likely that it damaged the engine when it broke? If so, what price range am I looking at to repair?
