Recall Details
Honda is recalling certain passenger vehicles due to improper welding on the front passenger seat belt retractor mounting bracket. The bracket may separate from the vehicle body during a crash. Dealers will inspect and repair the brackets.

Summary
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT RETRACTOR MOUNTING BRACKET WAS IMPROPERLY WELDED.
Consequence
THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE THE BRACKET TO SEPARATE FROM THE VEHICLE BODY IN A CRASH.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPAIR THESE VEHICLES.
Notify
OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN DECEMBER 1, 1997.ALL OWNERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY TELEPHONE AND ARE HAVING THEIR VEHICLES REPAIRED.NO FURTHER ACTION IS NECESSARY ON THIS RECALL CAMPAIGN.
