My car will defrost the front window in the middle but wont blow heat out the vents is that the heating coil?

I don't quite understand your question if my answer does not help please reply with more information about the heating system of your 1999 Buick Century. If your problem is incorrect air FLOW then the fault may be with the engine vacuum source to the mode selector switch. If your problem is incorrect air TEMPERATURE from the system then the problem may be with the heater core.
