Heater not working properly

(2002 Buick Rendezvous)
My heater fan runs but it does not always put out heat. Some times the heatguage goes up to hot. Had my engine flushed recently so I know it has water and coolant.

I'm concerned that your gauge goes to hot. Did this start happening after the flush, or was it happening before? If only after the flush, there may be an air pocket in your cooling system that needs "burped". Return to where you had the flush done. If it had been happening before, you could have a thermostat issue or some other cooling system failure that requires a good diagnosis.
