Your Galant uses an electrically operated heater control valve found on the passenger side of the center console, initially check fuse 16 to see it is OK. Loss of heater operation could be due to improper operation of the heater controls, insufficient engine cooling level, a restricted heater core (behind the dash) an engine cooling system thermostat that is not allowing the engine to achieve proper operating temperature amongst other things. A wiring diagram and some initial basic tests like just feeling the cooling hoses where they go into the firewall form the engine compartment to see if they are getting hot is needed to figure out what is causing the lack of heater operation in your car..
