Heat suddenly started blowing cool while I was driving

(1999 Lincoln Navigator)
I took it in and had the radiator flushed It didn't help at all The mechanic is trying to tell me to flush it again I'm wondering if it could be the thermostat or the heater core Help!

Very well could be a plug in the heater core. Flushing the system won't help. You need to 'backflush' the heater core itself....
