Q: Heat on left side blows cold while right side blows hot on 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The HVAC has a slide bar control for air temp for individual climate control on each side of the vehicle. The air blows fine out of all vents, but only cold will below out of the driver's side when the heat is on. The right side heat works fine. The cold air works fine on both sides. In other words, when the heat is on, the right side blows heat and the left side blows cold. Any ideas? Thanks
