Look closely at the window glass does it close properly in the door aperture where the glass seals in the window channel. With the window 80% up can you wiggle or move the glass about at the top rear corners. Sometimes the window regulators wear and cause the window glass not to seal properly.
Check the door seals damaged? Ensure the door seal has not been dislodged.
