Head lights and instrument panel lights going from brite to dim.

(1999 Ford F-150)

just started tonight, did it all way home 30 mile, not because of bumps. Did it
at random. Affects all lites.

Have alternator output tested... Also possible ground circuit issue... How about gauges, any fluctuation in those when turn lights on/off?.. Try it and see if gauge needles for oil pressure & temperature move erratically with each light switch cycle!!
