Head light on left side will not get bright

(1999 Pontiac Grand Am)

was in wreck but the ground is not inplug i put a ground to it but both high and low light up but are not bright

if you bought a new bulb,only for the left side,it may be a different bulb than what is on the right side.example:
silver star ultra,compared to a regular stock halogen,will be different in brightness.thats why everyone should replace in pairs.the bulb you need is a 9007,hi-lo both, in one.if this is what happened.

the bulb is a 9007 and i took the right and it did the same on the left side wonder is light switck or delay mod went bad

could have.if you have a volt meter,check right,then left.see if same.also you said you ran a ground wire to light socket,make sure it is connected to a clean and shiny surface and connected good in socket,grounds are very picky.im guessing you have a 2 wire socket,but they do make a 3 wire socket.post findings.good luck,i hope the switch didnt go bad,its a $100.00 bill,multifunction switch.
