Head gasket repair

(2000 Ford Taurus)
in Drexel Hill, PA on October 29, 2010
How much to repair for a blown head gasket. I have a 2000 Ford Taurus and my head gasket has blown causing my car not to start. I would like to know what kind of shops would fix this problem for me?

Are you certain it is a head gasket failure? It is not entirely common with the 3.0L V6 in a Taurus. Especially the 12 Valve OHV version.

I recommend contacting a local shop and making a relationship with them, where they can give you a (second) opinion on the engine issue. Here is a link to some local shops... http://repairpal.com/ford-repair-in-drexel-hill-pennsylvania

My thinking is that if you have a cylinder head leak on this car that there may be additional internal engine issues. Good luck.
