Has my transmission been damaged?

(1997 Ford F-250)
in Charlotte, NC on September 29, 2013
I was pulling a heavily loaded trailer for about 60 miles today, and started smelling something smokey. I got home 2 miles later and noticed tranny fluid dripping out of tranny between bell housing.

It drips/pours out quite a bit when motor is running and the truck will not move.

the transmission has got hot and blew out the front pump seal. have seen a lot of these trucks do this. have to pull trans and torque converter to replace seal. probably not hurt trans. get it to a shop that works on transmissions.
