I had the same problem with my 2005 magnum. The shifter linkage is worn or broken, you need to replace the shifter assembly. It cost me about 175 at the dealership. My car was in the garage and it had to be dragged out by a tow truck !

There is a compartment next to the shifter where you can store items if you pull out the rubber lining you will see a hole there. There will be a pink button, if you push down that button it will allow you to get it out of park. I have gotten used to just pushing this since my car has the same problem yours has almost every time I go to get out of park. 2007 Magnum Here.
