Gas Guage Goes Past Full when turn ignition on, Check engine light came on, and stayed on, after about one day, after guage went bad

BAK IS CORRRECT YOUR CODE MAY HAVE TO DO WITH FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WHICH WOULD MAKE FUEL GAUGE NON OP

First, get engine code read and repost on here. Autozone or another parts place will usually read for free. It is possible the fuel gauge sending unit (gas tank float) has failed but get code read first.
