(2002 Buick Park Avenue)
in Baltimore, MD on July 17, 2010
car was sitting for a short time, maybe 2 months, and now the gas gauge will not move. do you think if I fill it up the gauge may move? The had 1/2 a tank before and i added $10 in the tank, nothing. So what should I do?

I think the same fuse protects all the gauges so if the other instruments work the fuse is OK. Most likely the fuel tank sender unit has failed but should be tested prior to replacing it to ensure that it has failed.
