Fuel system issues

(1990 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup)
in Saginaw, MI on October 11, 2009
I run the tank out of gas.I filled it up and I couldn't hear the fuel pump. I replaced it thinking that was the problem. I still can't hear the new one. I don't think its getting power. Is there fuses or something I can check?

yes you should check for a power n gound at the fuel pump.. without one or the other the pump will not run and yes there is a fuse for the fuel pump ,, you also have a fuel pump relay in witch the current must flow through to reach the pump.. start with the basics !!!!
