Fuel level gauge not working

(2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD)

fuel gauge not working so changed in tank fuel pump and sensor, Replaced all stepper motors. All other gauges work but not fuel gauge. Vehicle has 89,000 miles. 6 liter gas engine, auto trans.
4-door, short bed. did GM have problem with printed circuit in instrument cluster?

A good scanner can run a prove out test to confirm gauge falt. Yes they did have problems. You can have your IP repaired and then reinstall or if replacement is required, dealer will have to program before driving!!
