Fuel guage not registering

the tach and speedo acted up, pulled the fuses to the cluster they were fine re started and speedo and tach worked but not fuel this car sat for 1 1/2 years b4 we purchased it. i did replace the battery yesterday

This is likely due to the fuel level sending unit in the tank. If it has been sitting that long, the level sensor is stuck and causing this problem.
