Fuel gauge always Full

I have a 1997Ford Taurus and the fuel gauge stays on full.How can I fix this problem. Do I have to take the fuel tank apart or there is a access to replace the fuel float/sending unit?

The sender seems like it is sticking at the full position. The instructions here show that you will need to remove the tank to access the sender. http://bit.ly/UR8h
