Frozen Gas Pedal

(2000 Chrysler 300M)
in Wheeling, WV on February 26, 2010
The gas pedal is sometimes frozen and sticks in cold weather. After unsticking the pedal with your foot, it seems to be okay. Is this a serious problem and what would cause this?

This is a serious problem, and you should take this to a Chrysler Dealer before the weather starts warming up, and have them look at this. It's best if they can duplicate it, but in the absence of verifying the problem, they can also check with Chrysler for any technical information regarding reports of this issue.
I can only imagine that every car manufacturer is at a heightened state of awareness when it comes to this type of problem, considering the issues with Toyota. This may work in your favor.
