going down the road front wheels shakes the whole van

If happens at highway speeds only then suspect tire balance. If at lower speeds and higher then suspect a slipped belt in one of the tires. If you have steel showing on one of them or both they are BAD. Could have loose front end components contributing to problem and also have tire wear that is choppy or uneven causing the prob. Have inspected at a qualified shop.
