The first body style ES300 had track control bushings where the front sway bar goes through the front control arm that wore out frequently causing noises and for and aft play in the front suspension when going over bumps. The second generation ES300 up to the ES330 had upper front strut mounts that tended to wear out on higher mileage cars. It should be easy in wither case to diagnose.
