Q: Front End Shutters While Turning And Accelerating on 2003 Audi A6 Quattro

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
I have an Audi A6 Quattro w/105,000 miles. I am getting a strange shutter when I accelerate and turn at the same time. (I should also note, the sound comes when turning either direction). Not really a vibration, so much as a bad sound. I hate the car, but the wife loves it! So any information on potential problems and fixes would be greatly appreciated!...Jeremy

if your feel/noise is a drone/vibration on tight turns under power it may be normal. the differentials (there are 3, front, rear and center) do not have 100% slippage which means under certain conditions the limit of slippage can cause a kind of "lock-up" where the wheels and diff can chatter. gm cars with limited slip diffs used addative to help their diffs that did something similar, but those were "plates" the audi uses a different technology so addative is not a good idea. be sure there are no leaks and the fluid level is good.
