Front deferential is shoot..can I turn this 4wd into a 2wd by just removing the

Only way i know of is to remove front axles, then remove and disassemble (gut) the outer cv joint so it can be put back on to hold the front hub bearing assembly together and retain the hub assem. Has to have that big nut put back on the axle!!!! This is if you are not going to fix it!
Also remove front drive shaft, put it in 2 wheel drive and disable 4x4!! Be SURE it is in 2wd and unhook transfer case motor wire connector.
