Ford F-150 Lightning Reviews
i own a 99 ford lightning and the problem is that the truvk doesn't run as it should be 1st of all when i am at racing the truck takes to long to change gears and its not giving the performance its known for it feels slow at the take off it changes gears to slow and i just need some help with what might be the problem with it! and its previous owner changed the pully to a bigger one because he wanted to save gas i don't know if it affects its performance
Have had since new 11/2000. Have flushed and changed all fluids prior to 13K. Added second set of tires then, changed to '04 Wheels, Bilstien shocks, '04 Lights (4corners, fog), Front bumper facia, Added signal mirrors. Has bed liner with H/D soft cover and vent visors. Black with fiberglass air induction hood. Ported and polished air horn and throttle body. At 29,500mi and NO time trials, ON third set of tires which seem to be dying of old age and nothing more. Rides and handles great. Gas mileage could be better 11/18, but Hey, it's a LIGHTNING.
LOTS OF POWER, JUST NEEDS SOME ADJUSTMENTS WITH EXHAUST AND INTAKE FROM FACTORY
I've had a '94 Lightning for six years now & will never let it go. At 150,000 miles it is very reliable with scheduled maintenance.
