On April 13, 2012, Ford recalled 34 Ford Transit Connect. Main mobility is recalling certain conversion vans built on model year 2008-2010 chevrolet express, 2009 gmc savana, and 2010 ford transit connect chassis, and fitted with certain braun wheelchair lifts. over time and with frequent use, the roll stop latches on the wheelchair lift’s outer barrier may become bent or misaligned.

A small number of these vehicles equipped with a wheelchair lift installed by Main Mobility may have a roll stop latch that is bent or otherwise misaligned. If this were to occur, a wheelchair could roll unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury.

Main Mobility has not released a notification schedule as of this time. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact Main Mobility. General Motors and Ford are NOT involved in this recall. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.

The trim near the headliner in the middle of the vehicle along the side "B-Pillars" have pushpins that do not meet crash protection standards.

Ford notified owners of affected vehicles starting in July 2010. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them. The Ford recall number is 10C13.
