Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 ford taurus, ford flex, lincoln mks and lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with 3.5l gtdi ecoboost engines and 2013-2015 ford taurus police interceptor vehicles. a component within the fuel pump electric module (pem) may overheat causing a loss of electrical power to the fuel pump.

The engine may stall while running and driving, or the engine may not start due to a part within the fuel pump electric module overheating. This could cause an accident.

Recall repairs on your Ford or Lincoln must be performed by a Ford or Lincoln dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in September, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford or Lincoln dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle.
