Our Quick Take:

A fuel leak may develop from the fuel tank area.

What Should You Do?

Ford will begin notifying owners of the affected vehicles on July 15, 2013. If you notice an abnormal fuel smell or leakage, do not drive your vehicle and contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Ford recall number is 13S04.

The fuel delivery module, which is located at the fuel tank, can crack, resulting in a fuel leak. Any fuel leak always increases the risk of a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module in the affected vehicles to correct this concern.
