On September 6, 2016, Ford recalled 2,046,297 Ford Focus. Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 ford focus, 2013-2015 ford escape and ford c-max, 2015 lincoln mkc and ford mustang, and 2014-2016 ford transit connect vehicles. a component within the door latches may break, preventing the doors from latching and/or leading the driver or a passenger to believe a door is securely closed when, in fact, it is not.

The door latches of the vehicle may not properly secure the doors in the closed position. If the door is not secure it may open while driving, resulting in possible occupant injury.

Recall repairs on your Ford or Lincoln must be performed by a Ford or Lincoln dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in October, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford or Lincoln dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Ford recall number is 16S30.

On vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights the front front side marker lights may not work as expected.

Ford will notify owners beginning mid August 2013. If don't receive notification and you feel you should, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Ford recall number is 13C04.

The passenger side windshield wiper may work intermittently or not at all. This can be caused by contaminates entering the passenger wiper motor connector.

Ford will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning May 12, 2012. If you are experiencing problems with the passenger side windshield wiper, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer.
