Q: flashing oil light at stop on 2001 Chrysler Concorde

I am having a problem with the oil light flashing whne I come to a stop. This happens after I have driven the car about 15-20 miles. If you rev the ingine a little, it goes out and stays out unless the tach drops back down. Any solutions?

Unfortunately it sounds like the engine may be wearing out in your 2001 Chrysler Concorde. The way to check this is to install a manual oil pressure gauge in place of the oil pressure switch. This will give a true reading of the engine oil pressure which can be compared to the factory oil pressure spec. If the oil pressure is low this could be caused by a worn oil pump, engine bearing, or some other internal engine component.
I would replace the oil pressure switch first if there is no rattle or engine noise when the light comest on.
My car just started that. When it comes to a stop or when i put it in park the oil light comes on or flashes. I own a 2003 Chrysler 300M. It only has a 123000 miles on it. I thought maybe it was the oil sensor. I have driven Chrysler Vehicles for the last 22 yrs & these last 2 chrysler cars I have had I am so not impressed. We will see what I find out on Monday. I will keep everyone posted
