Fitted new crank sensor but car will not fire am I missing something?

Yes you are missing a proper diagnoses of the problem!

Sorry but your knowledge of diagnosing this vehicle is not there. A lot of people want the luxury cars at a price they can afford. This means the older cars have depreciated in price but not repair cost. These cars have the same principal of starting and running, but welcome to the world of German engineering. Best thing is to school yourself on these cars, or take it to someone who knows these cars. Not very often a cheap fix, Sorry. Takes me longer to type than you PR.
