Ask around for a free check engine light code check. Many places will do this free of charge. My guess is code P0446 is set. This is the evap emission control vent. If so it will be nearly impossible to fill your tank in one shot without the nozzle shutting off. It can be faily expensive to replace the carbon canister located on the top of the gas tank. But you can often remove, clean with an airhose, then replace ...end of problem.

GM is blaming the fuel fill nozzles for the fuel filling problem you are having with your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. Does your particular problem happen at every gas station and when using different style fuel fill nozzles?

This happens at avery gas station.. I find that if you hold handle on the nozzel and go real slow it will go without stopping.but when you are filling up at 40 plus dollars a wack it is a pain..
