Fan won't turn off

(2002 BMW 325i)
in Saint Louis, MO on January 07, 2010
the fan will not turn off when the car is
switched off. i replaced the blower motor resistor not to long ago, so i don't think that's the problem but i am not sure what else can be the problem. i took the fuse number 50 out to turn the blower off because it drained my battery.

This same thing happened to me. I have an '04 Impala. My alternator and battery are both less than a week old.
