Every now and then when I go into first gear, the shifter pops out into neutral?

This happens mostly when I'm at a red light and go into 1st gear. I have 81k on the car.

Is this a clutch or transmission problem? Some internet bloggers say it's the bushings in the tranny, and some say it's the fork? All the other gears are fine.
