Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
I just received a 97 buick skylark, the guy that gave it to me had the engine replaced. he assumed it needed another engine due to lose of compression in 1 and 2. Could this be the anilock system malfuction due to the codes not matching the replaced engine???? and were and how much should this cost me to fix ???

There are so many possibilities in this situation. Who knows what problems were created when this engine was installed. You're looking at a minimum of 1-2 hours of diagnosis time to dig into this, plus a possible towing bill to get it to a shop.
I'll tell you, when I see a job like this, I estimate a diagnosis time of at least 2 hours, maybe more depending on the quality of the engine installation.
I'll warn you, man made problems like this are one of the more difficult to diagnose, because the conditions are so abnormal.
