Engine idles @ 4,000rpms

What is the correct idle spped for a 1990 Thunderbied SC? What would cause the engine to idle so fast? How do I fix it?

Idle speed is around 800 to 900 rpm If idles to fast check for broken vac. lines intake leak. Most common is IAC control top of intake try cleaning with carb cleaner.
if vavle not closing all the way replace IAC.
