drivers side door switch doesn't work, how do I replace the switch and where is the best place to purchase one

Purchase a door ajar switch at your local dealership; they are inexpensive.

Before you do that, lubricate the latches on your Town Car doors. If you lube them and then open and close them a few times, you may find they start working again. They often gum up and bind.
