Q: DRIVER'S SEAT on 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240

Edit
MY HUSBAND MOVED MY ELECTRIC SEAT FORWARD AS FAR AS IT WOULD GO AND NOW IT WON'T MOVE BACK. IT MOVES UP AND DOWN; IT ALSO RECLINES, WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.

Try to disconnect the electrical connector from the seat module (make sure the ignition is OFF) clean the connecting pins with an electrical contact cleaner, than reconnect it.
This cost almost nothing, so worth to try.
There are many problems with these seat modules, most of them also causes parasitic load and drains the battery overnight.

could be in the switch itself, or the motor. If you look under the seat you will see several motors. One is for forward and back movement, one for up and down, the other for forward and back tilt. It is not uncommon for just one motor to go bad. It is also possible that it was put in a bind from the forward motion and just needs help to get started going back in the other direction.
