Do you have to reset the computer for the transmission when you change out

transmission will not shift in first and 4th 4th drive light is on flashing

Did you get a used trans.? they might look alike , but use different software (controls). What was the failure in original trans? Are you sure all connectors are plugged in properly? ------Just some info needed to start. Please reply.

yes its all plugs are in the other trans was slipping bad yes its used and its got 102.000 miles on it

Best choice is to have the trans. scanned for DTCs' that are set(D light flashing).Was the trans you got out of a civic with the same engine AND trim level?
