Do car body repairs need to be total, or can they just get me back on the road?

(2003 Honda Accord)
I had a tree limb fall on my car during a tornado. It heavily dented the back portion of the roof and shattered the back window. That was the extent of the damage. The car was covered by liability only, so no insurance. The engine is good and I would like to save the car, but given that the value of the car pre-storm was probably about $3,000, I don't have a lot of wiggle room for spending. The first quote I got was $5,500, but they want to replace everything of course. Here is my question: is it possible to find a place that would fix the damage to the point where the car is drivable (fix window frame and window)? I don't need it to look perfect, just be road-worthy. Thanks!
How long have you had this problem? A few weeks

You should be able to find someone willing to do only the repairs you desire.. I don’t think that will be a problem.

Keep in mind this type of repair would NOT have any kind of guarantee what so ever !

You’d be on your own there ..

I would search around for someone that did this kind of work on the side - no need for a professional repair according to your post... Ask around - some ‘individuals’ actually do pretty good work!

Good luck!
