Dinan chip performance

Is chipping my car worth the cost, and will it make my car not pass smog.

The Dinan E30 chip is a fairly old design. There are newer chips such as the Miller WAR chip that are more technologically current. That being said the Dinan Chip will give you noticeable gains in power and increase the rev limit. I would not attempt to smog the car while chipped, however subbing the stock chip back in would be your best option. Dinan chips are regularly available on must popular auction sites typically in the $50-$75 range. Be sure you have the part number off your ECU to order the correct chip.
